Traverse City 20010 and beyond Organized by Rev. Steve Thompson NORML. This continues to be a consistent event for a rally and march. The crowd averages around 35 to 50. Never any police.
Traverse City 2009 Organized by Rev. Steve Thompson NORML. It started at High Noon on the Grandview Parkway with sidewalk demonstration and gathering for the march. The max crowd of almost 25 then marched thru downtown. Total attendance was around 40. There was a picnic after the march in the park. No police.

Traverse City 2006 Organized by Melody Karr, Cannabis Action Network and Rev. Steve Thompson NORML. Back to the first Saturday again. It started at High Noon on the Grandview Parkway with a march thru downtown at 1:30pm. There was 42 people in attendance, and a rally was held afterwards at the InsideOut Gallery complete with vendors,food,& drink. The film "Busted" was shown. No police, no press.
Traverse City 2005 Organized by Melody Karr, Cannabis Action Network and Rev. Steve Thompson NORML. Gathering at Traverse City Chamber of Commerce the second Saturday of May instead of the first Saturday. Downtown march began around 3:30 after bullhorn speeches starting with 25 marchers, (4 stayed behind to direct newcomers, vend and watch our cars) and a total participation of 47 people. After rally event at UAW Local 21 Hall where about 20 activists helped the Postal Workers sort and load food donations for charity before the after rally party with DJ and speeches.

Traverse City 2003 Organized by Melody Karr, Cannabis Action Network. Gathering at Traverse City Chamber of Commerce for a 2:30pm march downtown of around 75 that grew as it went. Rally after the march in Shimmers Lounge had a peak attendance around 90 with speakers and music. Some police, no hassles. Traverse City Record-Eagle, ran an announcement of the event and ran the story.
Traverse City 2002 Organized by Melody Karr, Cannabis Action Network Rally from Noon to 4:20pm at the Maritime Museum with speeches by Cannabis Action Network. March from 4:00 - 4:20pm downtown for great exposure. Average Participation around 50 with a peak participation over 80 for the march and total participation around 95. No arrests, some police.
Traverse City 2001 Organized by Melody Karr, Cannabis Action Network This was a new location for Liberation Day. Rally from Noon to 4:20pm at the Maritime Museum with speeches by Cannabis Action Network. March at 4:20pm downtown. Average participation over 70 people.
